Testers

Help test Elyir Bench.

It's ready for real printers, and it needs people who print every week to find what we can't. A few weeks, your own printer, your own prints.

  • Stay near the first printsAs with any new software on a printer

What you get

  • A direct lineThe people building it read every report and answer
  • A first look at what's nextNew features reach testers first

Ask to test

Its board, if you know

One email to confirm. We invite a few at a time, so every report gets read.

Got your invite?

Three steps, about ten minutes.

  1. On the printer, over SSH, while it isn't printing

From a computer. The command is in your email too. It checks the printer first and asks once before it changes anything.

    curl -fsSL https://bench.elyir.com/install | sh
  2. Scan the code it shows

With your phone. Your printer opens, ready to go.

  3. Turn on Bench Cloud with your code

On that phone, open printers.elyir.app/you, sign in with your email and type the code from your invite. Then, on your home Wi-Fi, add your printer there.

Will it work on yours? The board table is on the install page. Changed your mind? elyir-bench remove takes it off and puts KlipperScreen back.

Tell us something

  • On the printer: Care, then "Tell Elyir something". For a problem it adds the printer's logs and settings, with passwords and keys taken out, and shows you what goes first.
  • From any browser: bench.elyir.com/write
  • Or reply to your invite email.

If the install itself fails, it offers to send us what went wrong.

Known, so no need to tell us

  • A Pi 3, or a 32-bit systemNot yet
  • Slicing on a board with 1 GBAnother printer in the house can slice for it
  • A card to flash for a fresh PiComing; use the command for now
